Abstract

One challenge of XP agile method in softwaredevelopment is this method's underestimation oversoftware quality attribution; these attributes are of mainindices of software architecture. In this study, a method isrepresented for responding this challenge on the bases ofprobability theory. In this method, firstly, the ratingmatrix is structured on the bases of quality attributionsarchitecture solutions. Each element of this matrix shows arating for every solution and the ratings will be initializedthrough analytic hierarchy process (AHP). Via qualityweight implement on above matrix the rating vector iscreated whose each element represents the rate of eachsolution in reaching those quality attributes in ratingmatrix. Because rating vector follows normal probabledistribution, its elements' rating probable density is mostlygathered around the mean.In this study, the probable density of architecture will bedefined, the appropriateness of a solution in comparison toother solutions will be evaluated or and the respond to XPchallenge will be done easily in order to reach architecturesolutions in the frame of rating vector. A complex of data isgathered and the results are compared in an experimentalmethod in order to investigate the represented method ofthis paper.
