Abstract

The flexible IT infrastructure enabled by Grid Computing is the ideal solution to today’s changing business needs. The organizations require to take advantages of the agility, reliability and low cost of dynamic IT architecture because of their on-line presence. Truly the IT has taken the centre stage in the operation of business. This online presence must be backed up by a solid IT department, either in-house or outsourced and these departments are under constant demand to deliver more capabilities and higher quality of service (QOS) to the end users. This in a traditional manner means deploying systems with better performance and availability which translates into fast and reliable processing of user requests. Towards this goal a heavy investment is essentially required in IT infrastructure and efficient manpower. But market economy demands a good return of investments and reduction in operating expenses. So the latest trend is to employ Grid Computing which can provide a flexible, efficient, fast processing but in a cost effective manner.
