On Hwang and Yang’s Definition of Entropy of Fuzzy sets

Abstract

In this paper we intend to draw attention on one of the existing definitions of entropy of fuzzy sets and also to analyze it with the extended definition of complementation of fuzzy sets on the basis of reference function. The contribution of this paper is to inform that this definition fails to yield any desired result, if worked into the matter from our standpoint .Also an attempt has been made to define it in a more logical way.
